DesignEuropa Awards 2025

DesignEuropa Awards celebrate excellence in design and design management among holders of Registered Community Designs (RCDs). The 2025 edition will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The goal of these awards is to raise awareness about the design protection system in the EU and promote design as a valuable intellectual property right that supports our economy and creates jobs.

CATEGORIES

The categories for the DesignEuropa Awards are:

• Industry Award: For designs from large and medium-sized companies with more than 50 employees or €10 million in their balance sheet, established before January 1, 2020.

• Small and Emerging Companies Award: For outstanding designs from small businesses or startups with fewer than 50 employees or €10 million in their balance sheet, established after January 1, 2020.

• Lifetime Achievement Award: Reserved for designers with a significant body of work developed throughout their career, having made a considerable impact on the field of design.

• Next Generation Design Award: This category is exclusively dedicated to young and emerging talent aged 18 to 29 who have at least one design registered as an RCD (Registered Community Design). It aims to recognize and elevate the contributions of young designers who have demonstrated exceptional creativity and potential.

APPLICATION CRITERIA

• All submitted designs must be valid RCDs that are marketed and sold (in any country). This does not apply to the Next Generation Design Award.
• All submitted designs must be marketed by the RCD holder or a licensee.
• Applicants may submit a maximum of five different entries (one RCD per entry), provided that each RCD was designed by a different designer.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE

The call for submissions will be open from November 25, 2024, to February 28, 2025.
